Great pics and report. Glad to see that there are some bigones in there again.
I just bought some slip bobbers. I plan on trying them at a lake in Yellowstone just to figure them out and get used to them.
I would appreciate hints on what chromonids to use.

Nice trip and great fish. Very healthy looking fish. Now that I am done Salmon fishing, it is time to get the fly rod out again.

Those are some nice trout. Almost makes me want to give up bass fishing and fish for some of those. Well, maybe not![laugh]

Bass and trout are both equal in my book. It just depends on my mood.

30' to 32' of water and fly suspended at 27' or 26'

Here's a question from a non-flyfisherman. Is there any gain to be had with a fly rod fishing 26' deep over tying the same fly to a spinning outfit with a hunk of lead to sink it down there?

The line Floats with a fly outfit, but I have had a fly reel loaded with plain fluorocarbon that I use to use cause I could go any depth.
Like I said the line will form a belly between rod tip and indicator. Harder to set the hook but can be done for sure.

Nice fish Joni. Had a good day there about three weeks back. Was half the state of Idaho there like they were when I was there? I really wonder if the fishing will hold up with that much pressure especially since many of the people I saw weren't exactly following the 2 fish limit.

I was surprised. It being the PIONEER weekend and there being a fair share of the LDS crowd in Idaho, I thought it would be packed.
There was maybe 8 campers that I saw all weekend.
On the lake however, reminded me of old Pineview days. There were two tubers, and 5 pontooners plus a boat fishing down by the dam, but some yahoo with the knee boarder chose to buzz right around that area. I guess they wanted an audience cause there was NOTHING the other direction. At one point they buzzed about 50' away from me.
I happen to have my Camera out and although didn't get a picture, the motion must have registered to them because they stayed clear after that.
Allot of water toys and one speed boat, but I have seen worse.
I know my group of six fly fishers left all the fish to get a little bigger, but I hear you on the limit thing.
People want to make something last, you got to take care of it...kind of simple really. Don't abuse and you can have another day.

If you see them exceeding the two fish limit call them out on it. There are plenty of places to keep more fish.

I talked to the CO who works the area. Unfortunately most of the time I've been too far away to get boat numbers or license plates and I don't get service at the lake.
