I read this site on a daily basis but until lately I haven't had a job that allowed me the time to put in many reports and with my boy into every sport known to man I don't get much cpu time at home. But recently my son has become infactuated with fishing emoBig
and now i have vowed to make the effort to share my info since i gather so much from this site, so here goes. Since we didn't have football practice tonite my son begged to go to the lake and i asked dad to meet us down at the riverpark to catch some spots. We started up by the RR bridge and drifted down river catching a handfull of small spots. We decided to run down into town because my boy thinks that's cool to fish right in the city and started catching spots on about every 2 or 3 cast. They were small and most of them came on shakey. I started throwing a small buzzbait and caught our biggest at around 3 1/2 lbs (lm), and caught several fish before it got dark. We ended up with somewhere between 20-25 fish for the trip, but watching my son and dad in the back of the boat catching fish and cutting up about the other one missing one will has to be the greatest thing a person can witness. I'm so thankful that my dad always took the time to take me fishing and that he is still around to see that his grandson loves it as much as he and i do.
