I decided late this AM to go crappie fishing again. Got to the Tyner Lane ramp around 10:30 and saw Bassert's truck/trailer there and knew that he was out there someplace. I figured where he would be. I looked at the solunar tables and saw that the major period began at 1:42 PM thru 4:00 pm. I expected it to be slow for the first couple of hours and it was very slow. I fished above Sequoia all the way up to and into Possum creek. When it got close to the feeding period, the crappie turned on and I had a blast for 3 hours. I landed 75 crappie and 4 bass. 3 spots and 1 smallmouth. I kept a limit of over 11" fish for the freezer.

I caught the fish on 1/32 oz jigheads with 2" BG crystal shads that had a little blue that bled into them and a tail light. Also, caught a lot on crystal shad panfish assassins, 1.5". I fished docks mainly, but did catch a couple of keepers from blowdowns in Possum Creek. I tried one bluff and it was unproductive. Most of the fish that I caught were on a 12 to 20 count and almost dead sticking the lure. I caught a ton of 10-10.75 inch fish.

My phone rang so many times that I felt like a Ma Bell operator. Thankfully, most of the calls came before the fishing got hot. emoBig
On the way back downriver, I stopped at Bassert's favorite dock and caught 23 more crappie. Was able to cull a couple of fish from there. Only took 1 pic. emoSorry emoGeezer
