Reel Advice/Suggestions needed

I recently came across a free, Penn Power Stick Plus rod (brand new), and would like to get a reel for it as it looks and, feels, like a really good rod. It is MF# p4080c76t, Line 40-80lbs, lure 12-20oz. I believe this is a boat rod. I mostly fish the river for reds, trout, snook, tarpon and also surf fish. I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on what type of reel to get for this baby. I am considering getting a casting reel as I have no experience with them but would like to get familiar with them. Also wondering if this rod can be used for surf fishing? Thank you in advance for your replies. Oh by the way money is not a factor on spend of the reel. I always like to start with the best equipment to save me the headaches of problems with cheaper stuff. Thanks again.

I use that very same rod, works well in the surf but find it better of the pier or rocks.I use mine with a shimano 7 ball spin reel
