<br /> well still being boat less riverrat took pity on me and took me crappie fishing this morning. while we didnt have a huge numbers day the quality was outstanding with 30 keepers and 12 shorties . plus 2 more if you want to count the yellow and the trashy green fish emoTongue <br /> we met at the grasshopper ramp about 7am . got to meet and talk to jonboy who pulled in behind us as we were getting the boat ready. <br /> went down river a ways to try some docks around the nuke plant. found some fish under one of the docks with about 20 fow but only managed to get 3 or 4 of those in the boat. left there to try a deep water spot only to find someone else there emoDoh . <br /> scouted around a bit after that and wound up in soddy creek where we thought we had found some on the side imager but again only a few takers with only 1 being a keeper emoScratch . <br /> headed out from there looking at lots of docks with the side imager until we found a nice school of crappie under one. picked out a bg shad in bluegrass on a 1/32 and started playing with the count . <br /> didnt take long to find a 15 count with 3 cranks and a 2 count pause was what they wanted . it was pretty steady for a bit and i believe riverrat got tired of opening the livewell for me when he propped it open <br /> with his coffee cup emoBig
<br /> wound up with 20 solid keepers from this spot with 15fow at the outside of the dock ranging from 12-13-3/4&amp;quot; and no shorties emoDance <br /> then they just quit . pulled around to look at it with the side imager again and sure enough the rest of them were gone emoBawl being just 5 fish short of a double limit we looked for more fish not finding much . <br /> we found a couple of keepers and a few more shorts in the back of sale creek. now just 3 short of a double limit emoDance but they too had other ideas emoDoh <br /> on the way out of sale creek we found another spot that looked like it had a few on it and i picked up 2 nice ones on back to back cast . WOOHOO just one more !!! but no they had had enough there too emoHoppingmad <br /> back to grasshopper to pack it in ... passing by a brush pile across from the ramp i saw some fish on the side imager ...... 1st cast and BAM 30th keeper and a double limit emoDance . <br /> <br /> what an awesome day to be on the water with a good friend . thanks for taking me out bob <br />
