Labman, Chickamauga, Bass ??/ Crappie, 10/15/2010, Wind
#1
Dummy that I am, I waited until it got really windy before I ventured out to try and catch some bass. Short story caught 1 bass and just gave up as the wind was brutal. I did carry one of my crappie rods just in case, lol.

Hit 3 docks I haven't fished this year and got some really nice crappie on each one. A little tough holding the boat, but easier when by myself as don't have to try and position the rear seat. I caught 5 and then moved on to another dock. Had good luck on all 3. Finished up on a bluff that was out of the wind a little bit and caught 4 more nice keepers there. Ended up with 19 all over 12". All fish released.

Docks were mainly in the 12-15' depth range and fish were about 1/2 way down. They were a little deeper on the bluff. BG Shad in mo-glo blue ghost in 1/16 oz.

I really hate fishing in the wind, just wears you out.

Regards, Labman
