Hal, Chick, Crappie - A WOW Day!, 11-07-10, M & M Marlon
#1
This was a WOW Day emoTongue We started out about daylight fishing deep structure and docks along with a couple brush piles. The crappie were really hungry early emoThumbsup During the first couple hours we had several doubles and a couple runs of 4 or 5 casts and 4 or 5 fish, emoEek It was cold but we didn't even notice, emoBigSmile Fish were in deep water mostly but on a 6 to a 12 count all day. Best bait seemed to be MoGlo Blue Ghost with Marlon using a 1/16th lead head and me using a 1/64th then switching to a 1/32nd later in the morning when they went deeper, emoThumbsup TVA seemed to be running lots of water with the current being so swift at some places that even a 1/8th wouldn't go down, Sad We ended the day with 72, 50+ over 11 inches and only 10 throw backs under 10" emoThumbsup These crappie are WOW crappie right now, they are heavy. I didn't have my scales with me today but all the fish that were over 11" were really thick and heavy emoThumbsup They're really eating good. It was a great day even if it was in the 30's when we started. That sun sure felt good when it got up a little. The wind picked up and made boat control a struggle latter in the day. We were headed home by 1 pm with all the fish returned to the deep to fight another day emoThumbsup Water temp was 58* in most places and we spotted a couple deer early in the morning and heard several muzzle loader shot fired. Sounded like the deer were really out this AM too emoThumbsup<br />Another wow, Marlon's picture didn't turn out too good, camera was colder than we were, Sad
