First time on Nick in about a month. Ran to check out some mat that I caught em on last month and it wasn't there... Moved up the lake to check out some more and ditto... Had to go to the river to find the top water love today. Water temp was in the low 60's., pulling a little current. Clear as gin in some areas and nicely stained in others. Had about 35 to 40 blowups and managed to hook up several barely keepers,a bunch of slicks, and a couple of decent fish, all on a rat. All came from less than 3 ft. of water but close to main channel (deep water). Ran up river and looked for some scattered grass and managed another barely keeper with a chatterbait. Best 5 = less than 12 lbs. Not what I was hoping for!
