<br /> Well, even though neither Davo or I had been on Nickajack in over three months we wanted to fish the Kids tournament. I think it&#39;s a great cause and was definately very well ran. Our plan was to catch em early and hope once the sun got out to limp through the rest of the day. To be honest I don&#39;t think we put a fish in the livewell until the sun came out. 
We moved a couple times trying to figure things out. Once we got to our third spot, we parked it and fished the area the rest of the tournament. Our first three fish were all schoolers and we caught them on traps and chatterbaits. I lost 3 more on a chatterbait, one being a monster ( figures). So we start mixing in frogs across scattered grass mats. That was the ticket from that point on. I honestly believe we had over 30 blow ups today and caught about a quarter of them. Had some good ones pull off , but that&#39;s frog fishing. The fish in this area never quit biting and were still biting when we left. It was fun ! We left a bunch of weight off our hookes today ( again, that&#39;s frog fishing), but we were proud to have what we had since it&#39;s been so long since we fished the lake. I think we culled 5 times or so. Got back to the ramp and weighed our 5 in . We were lucky enough to win. Blazer was a close second and third was close as well. So ended up a good day for us and we were both happy to have given a little back for some deseving children! Great tournament and thanks for having it !
