Island park

Didn't start fishing until 2:30. Ice was 8" total 3 layers of slush/ice. My buddy landed 6 and I cheered him on[Tongue]! Missed a dozen or so just leaving the res. Biggest 16" and smallest 14". All bows. Fished shallow. Total depth 15 and fish were 10-12ft down

Thanks for the report. It has been a while since we have heard anything from Island Park. Might have to try it.

Thanks for the report!

Do you need an auger extension to get through to the water yet?

Lakeside ( the boat dock before you get to the dam) saw two ther groups but not sure how they did. They were out another 50 yards. Mmdon- [laugh]- almost needed! The " good ice" was at best 2". Followed by 2-3 of slush then another 1" of good ect...that 4" of snow on top is not allowing the slush to freeze

It never does. This time of year I usually take a shovel and build a trough with a bench to stand on. It won't be long before the extension is needed to get through. I remember being up there a couple of times when guys were fishing shallow, 3 foot. I asked them if they knew they were fishing between the layers of ice. [Image: happy.gif]
