Ok, I have seen a few reports from people using paddlebugs. What are you calling paddlebugs? What kind are you having luck with?
I thought they were these little tiny panfish bugs but doing a search many things come up.
If you are using soft plastic are you using jig heads with them? Is there a particular body style or size you are having luck with?
Anything you wish to share would be great to hear. Thanks.

Pretty sure most the guys on here using paddle bugs are using the ones from Maniac Lures.

I was just going to post a picture. The maniac cutter bugs are a little different. They still work well but they don't have the same gliding action. I use the maniacs on drop shots for bass in the summer.
Curt is right on about the colors. The pink ones are hard to find in the stores right now.
If you are fishing for big fish you might want to replace the jig that comes with the paddle bug with a stronger one.

When you fish the Cut'r Bugs vertical, pull the tail apart at the membrane that runs through the center of the tail. This will give you the double tail action.
if you want a leech pattern then rig on a jig head without the split tail.
These lures are also very effective in the open water.
Good luck and good fishing1
If you want a good jig head that will hold the biggest trout when using a vertical presentation for Cut'r Bugs and other small plastics, try the new Vertigo heads.
