Canada taking advantage of US salmon
#1
So someday the Canadians will catch up and start producing salmon in rivers like Washington and Oregon. Did you know that the Barkley Sound/Ucluelet/Tofino area gets mostly US Chinook travelling by? It seems pretty unfair, however, what can you do. Here is a video of last summer during a fishing derby...what are your feelings on Canada taking US salmon and Visa Versa?

so long as every one is makeing the effort to plant salmon to keep the numbers up, it will be good all the way around.

with out the preasures of man, the salmon counts would greatly higher and so would the bear and wolf counts that depend on the salmon's reproducitve cycles.

granted wolves dont hunt salmon, but they pick up the fresh dead salmon on the way back down stream.

I think that as long as people are having a good time fishing and enjoying the sport, then it doesn't matter "whose" river the fish are in Smile
