You ever consider opening it up to statewide? Seems like a big time frame to fish and you could probably get a lot more people involved, just a suggestion. If it wasn't such a drive I'd love to get in on it.

Yeah spread the news the more people who enter the better. last year a 32" cat won the Tournament i know there are much bigger fish than that!!!

I have thought about opening it to the hole state. but it would have to include lake Powell and flaming gorge. the quality of fish in those lakes are much bigger than Utah lake. so it would be a divantage

I've fished both and really have never caught anything close to as big as I do in the valley or over in box elder or willard, maybe just exclude those two bodies of water. I don't think that too many people try really hard at powell or the george for big cats anyway. I would have thought that the bigger cats would be found in places like Utah lake, Cutlar marsh and areas like that. Let me know if you change your mind I'd love to try. The other upside to a statewide tourney is that you might find some new places for cats that you might not have thought of fishing before.[]

State wide would make me more likely to enter I don't like to roam to far from home for cats especially since I can catch bigger fish around home... I know it makes running a contest much more difficult though..

I agree! I like fishing my grounds alot more than Utah lake for sure [cool] And a 32 inch cat won last yr??? Could have beat that several times lol man I can't wait for this season! !!!
