What should I Get?
#1
I recently purchased a Mariner 7' Penn spinning rod for 20-40lb test line. I'd appreciate it if someone could recommend a good Penn spinning reel to me. I mostly fish off half and three-quarter-day boats but occasionally I like to go to the pier.

[font "arial, helvetica"][size 2][Image: wfp_1745_34216083]All of Penn's large Spinfisher SS reels - 9500SS, 8500SS, 7500SS and 6500SS - feature a powerful gearing system, sealed stainless steel ball bearings and soft grip handle. In addition, all four models have the proven, black enameled aluminum housing and rotors. When it comes to heavy duty spinning - in either fresh water or salt - nothing beats rugged, die cast anodized aluminum. Convertible handles, stainless steel line rollers and all exposed parts are manufactured for maximum corrosion resistance. No problem[Wink] Word to the wise. When looking for something specific go to the source, ie: Penn.Com, Okuma.Com, Seeker.Com,etc

Hope that helps. Good to shop around Penn's are sold everywhere. Ever try Okuma? I have used several different Okuma's both conventional and spinning. Never had one issue[cool]
