FINALLY!!!!

As several out there, I have the North Fork Outdoors pontoons. One is the Outlaw X5 with a standing frame...no problem adding add ons like rod holders, sonar.
But I also have the Renegade and had the Escape. The problem there is no frame to bolt on plus the oars which limit adding things to the outside of the tube/toon.

Well through a lot of searching and the fact that we did glue more D rings on the tubes, we are use to the scuffing, mixing special glue and the let tack then stick. Sadly, the two part glue is expensive for PVC covers. Like $29. But there is plenty of glue to do a lot of mods.

I run the electric motor on mine and figured out the deck on the back was a great option. I had my rod holders, my transducer and a hole for my battery to sit in. Everything in one, way cool. But, I drive a very small SUV. The Deck and the motor plus boat and battery mixed with gear pretty much fills the interior. Forget someone going with me.

Back to the searching...Peter, love the simplicity of the strap, couple washers and a carriage bolt, plus my transducer already on the aluminum tubing, that was so easy, and clean. The Sonar screen is mounted to a piece of plywood and a Ram mount in one of my bags...out of the way of the oars. Battery, sits on a carpet sample behind my seat with tons of room still. The extra D rings we added are perfect for securing the battery in a battery box.
Lastly, rod holders . I fly fish and take 2 to 3 rods out at a time. One with a floating line and one with a slow sink, and if three one with fast sink. Lost one too many reels trying to change out while in the middle of a lake.
I like the Scotty rod holders. I could and have used the TUBE mount Scotty.

But, can only use one and mount it in front which is okay, but again two or three rods. Can't mount it on the rear as they have that inflatable floor.
There are holes in the very back that you can attach one and a lot of people use that spot to attach the anchor system;

But, thanks to searching the net, I came across these:

Cheap enough, clean WOHOO! I mounted one up front and one in the rear. I can still use the strap on for that third rod or the anchor system...I am totally mobile now!!! I will get some shots when dry...I am loving this!

Great find for you! Clean and easy mounts.

Light, compact, and easy is what I like about the Renegade. --- Pack up and go, but then it can do so much, that I want to take everything with me. [laugh][laugh][laugh][laugh][laugh]

Sportco is a good store. I used to shop there when I lived in WA, and I have ordered from them since. Good prices and fast service.
