Your best bet is to pull into Hot springs landing, you can camp there (no trees and just gravel) or you can head a few more miles east to Stanton crossing, nice big trees good camp sites and its sittin' right on the river, purty nice spot , if it were me thats where i would camp..
Hot springs landing and the narrows are great spots to fish out of tubes n toons,, great fishing and good shelter from the wind, thats where a 14 pounder was caught last week.
Good luck, and let's hear how you did..

Thanks for answering my quiry. The tree campsite sounds great and with your advise we'll have more time to get the son on fish than cruising around trying to find spots.

Nice fish, kokesmoker. The last time I was over there.....years ago.....the F & G were in the creek at the outlet shocking fish. They had been checking people prior to that that had been fishing the same stretch, but none had caught anything. They were wondering if the trout were migrating over the dam. Well, some amazing hogs floated up in that stretch. It was a sight to see! I never hear anything about Mormon these days. Anxious to see if anyone responds to your query. Again, congrats on some beauts. Mike

Just checked the West Magic Resort, and a new report is on it. Said the fishing is "red hot" with easy limits coming from the bank, using mallows and worm. All rainbows. Didn't mention trolling. Has a picture of a 6 pounder taken recently. So, Deshka, how did you do last Saturday? Mike
