What kind of fisherman are you????
#1
There are two types of fishermen: those who fish for sport, and those who catch something. If I am like most, I get my fair share of both worlds. I practice catch and release as well as catch and eat. I enjoy fishing for trout, bass, cats, and panfish in fresh water. Whenever possible I do get the flies wet too. I enjoy C&R for sharks and rays in the saltwater. What do you like?????????

I would have to say that I am also of both worlds. I used to keep a lot more of my fish, but now I rarely keep anything, because I only like to eat fish once in awhile. If I ate it more often, I would definitely keep more fish, but usually I'm a C&R kind of guy. I flyfish, spin fish and baitfish.

C&R most of the time. I almost always use some sort of lure, however I do bait fish, or at least sweeten up a lure about 1/2 of the time I go out. My favorite fishing is in a small stream, with ultralight spinning tackle, and a small spinner.

I think I'm a lot of both, release all the little ones and keep all the big ones. Flyfishing & Spincast.

I mostly do CPR but there are times that I like to eat the bait. Like bluegill, perch, crappies,or a walleye or 2 when I'm in the mood. as I'm sure you know I'm a musky fisherman so we dont get a lot of fish a year and they are put back to fight on the next day. so If you go by the #'s I'm a poor fisherman that can't get fish all that much hahahah.

I do about 50-50 between them both. If I'm bass, trout or catfishing, I usually keep my limmit. About the only time I don't keep is if the regs. don't allow it, or I don't feel like cleaning them. I just use a spinning pole. And once in a while my rusty old flyrod.

I am a C&R kind of guy. I do not care much for fish that come from fresh water and that have pink meat. Tunna is about all I can really handle in the fishy department, however shellfish are a different story they are yummmmmy. I keep fish because my wife and kids love them so whenever I am heading out I ask them what they want for dinner and that is how I base my catch. I do like to cook them and smoke them. I mainly catch them using spinner/bait/traditional ways for trout and bass. Trolling and drifting works well also. I really just love to fish, get out with the folks and have a few cold ones and bs all day long.

[cool] Thanks for sharing there fellow anglers. I'm sure gonna miss the ice fishing.[Sad] But I guess I'll have to settle for my float tube this winter. yeee haaaw. As long as that water stays warm here, I still don't need to use my waders.

I am a C&R person, with the exception of Wipers and Channel Cats. If the cats are big enough that is.I have only one pole and that is an Ugly Stick with 6lb stren on it. I use that for anything and everything.
