The camera is a kodak playsport second gen. It works great for a pocket camera and does decent videos for youtube. The zoom is not very good and if you are looking for cinematic quality this isnt the camera for it. A good pocket camera, but dont get one expecting much more. The size is handy and its supposedly waterproof.

[laugh] I hope it's waterproof cause I saw some underwater footage on one of the videos! Thanks for the info. I'm kind of leaning towards the GoPro, but info on others is always good.

If I were getting a camera just for my outdoors adventures I would go with the new gopro in a heartbeat. The kodak was more for a film the kids camera. The gopro is the next camera im getting though.
