Ok my dad, wife and myself are going fishing tomorrow were wanting to go to a river. Ive been doing ok on the portneuf, but would like to go some where else. So was thinking the snake or bear river if we go to the snake was thinking some were around american falls or blackfoot. Now i dont really know any where to go on the snake other than massacre rocks, and right below the dam of AF. I do not know any of it in blackfoot area or any where else in AF.. any help for that area would be great. Now the bear river i only know the narrows , blackrock canyon, and below the dam of alexander. Every where else im clules. So any help there will be great also.. so any one have some info for any spots in those areas? Just looking for a good spot for my wife to catch some fish. Thank you..

I thought about trying the Blackfoot R. below the dam,if I get a chance to get out. I haven't ever tried it before so I don't know much about the access there. If the weather comes in with some snow tonight, it could close those roads.
The Portneuf may be your best bet, what area of it have you been fishing?

We have fished the snake at the second blackfoot exit or just down stream from there at the train bridge and did ok. Use an orange corky and worm. Af is good also but rember no live bait and catch and release

I have been fishing inbetween lava and mccammon. Ill send you a pm with further details.. and what kind of fish were you catching over around blackfoot? To be honest i really want to get into some browns.. as the browns seem to be really active right now every where i have fished for them..

all we ever caught there were rainbows, haven't been there this year but my buddy said he is still doing pretty decent. there is a lot of good places from there up to Shelly also I haven't been there enough to know names of the places .

Fish the river from Porterville Bridge up to Rose Pond area . Just outside of Blackfoot . I catch some Browns in that stretch . Curt G.
