Willow has been been a stingy bit@h lately. Maybe with the water coming back up the we will see more fish coming up from Mohave or where ever they are hiding.

I think there is a trick to fishing it honestly... Those guys on Allan's boards hooked up sat down there... Big one broke the line and got away and he still bagged two 20 pounders...

You wanna know the secret?
Saturday, we had windy, overcast conditions with a falling baro. Monday we had a rising baro with calm winds, clear skies and a full moon. That's that's secret. I just let it out the bag. @LVfishingdude - Maybe YOU just broke the news! They can't publicize that though... AC plug sales might go down. [signature]

i don't agree with the weather phenomenon. it was almost 1 year to the day i caught my big 34 pounder out of echo bay. the weather was no wind almost 70 degrees. california weather.

Just to be clear, using live trout or any game fish for bait is illegal and punishable by law in Nevada. I know most of us know that, just clarifying for lurkers and casual forum readers.
While I agree that you can catch a big fish in clear conditions as you did, I do believe that rough conditions can increase your odds by reducing visibility and masking noise. The river is small and very clear, much different than Lake Mead even though they are a part of the same river system. Some believe that fish sense the inclement weather and will go into feeding mode to get them through..... somewhat like a bear preparing to hibernate during barren winter months. All that said..... the only real secret to producing every time at willow is to only make a report when you catch one [ ![]() [signature]

Hey I'm on your side bro haha... There always posting pix of the bags and I don't get it myself... The only thing I can think is these guys fish it all week and then the day they bag something they talk... You don't hear much about skunks over there...
