maybe a cuttbow? I have seen the rainbows with white tips on the fin in rivers up in the Pacific northwest but they also share the river with cutthroats.[fishon]

Looks like a rainbow to me. Bows typically do have white tipped fins even if not usually as pronounced as that one. The bit of orange slash isn't all that uncommon either and isn't enough to reliable consider it a cuttbow. Can't rule anything out because some degree of hybridazation between cutts and bows isn't uncommon. Where did you catch it? Are there cutts in there as well?

Yeah, looks like a standard rainbow to me. I believe that stocked fish sometimes have the white tipped fins because they get rubbed while the fish swim in the hatchery raceways.
