That was a very information post and much appreciated. I am hoping our local paper, "The Post-Register" in Idaho Falls will shine some light on this topic in their Outdoor Edition Thursday, June 7.

The Upper Salmon River had a much larger than expected flow surge during the last few days--mostly as a result of the Memorial Day storm's snow deposit coming off in a hurry. It was 79 in Stanley Monday but struggled to stay in the 30's there during daylight yesterday. Here's our take on the river flow up there:
