As I read the regs. as of tomorrow, 1July, I can keep 2 under 12 in, or 2 over 16 in, Am I correct in my interpretation of the regs, ?

Yes, either two under 12 or two over 16.

This was discussed awhile back, so I looked it up.

2009!!! I can't believe it was that long ago. Time flies when you are fishing!

Yes, that is to allow the largemouth bass time to spawn before being returned to the creel for eating. The bass at Weston are used as a natural control to keep the yellow perch down to a manageable population so they will grow bigger. However, allowing some bass under the normal size limit of 12 inches minimum is a way to keep the bass population in control too. Be prepared to catch one or two trout too while fishing there.

i have heard the perch fishing has been good this year there, anyone know for sure or heard that too. I use to fish there pretty regular before i got a boat and loved it. Maybe I should go again to get some of the large yummy perch. [sly]

I caught a few fat perch while bass fishing about a month ago. There were many in there last fall as well.
