Over the course of the last three weeks I have had a wonderful time fishing the small streams of southeastern Idaho with my wife and kids.
In all of my small stream trips I never saw another fisherman. That and the fact that the fish were going crazy on small hoppers made for a great time.
Why are fish so camera shy? Every time I got out the video camera they would quit rising. I was still able to get quite a bit of good footage.
Hope you enjoy the small stream video.
P.S. The music can either get under your skin or become impossible to get out of your mind.

Great Video. With football and school starting I am afraid my fishing days are limited.

One of those small streams is where my son first learned to fly fish 8 years ago. He was also throwing hoppers. I recall he managed about a dozen trout in about 40 minutes but at age 6 that was long enough for him.

hanks everyone. There truly is nothing better than fishing with my kids. I was just talking to wife about how remarkable it is that my three oldest kids all enjoy fly fishing. A large part of that is due to the joy of small streams.
Chrome Junky: My kids all have ww Griggs 3 weights. 6 ft long. They use the cheapest Okuma 2-3 weight reels and we get there cheep line at walmart. The reason I don't care about the line with them is they are not casting more than 20 ft anyway so why spend a fortune on something they hardly use. The stream fish don't take them into their backing although my son broke a rod last year on a surprise big brown.
Thanks everyone for putting up with the music.
Those of you who noted the names of creeks. Thanks for watching to end that proves you endured 11 min of "Give said the Little Stream."[cool]

Well with Avery now back in school I can finally slow down and read some posts I missed this summer. We only stayed home 2 weekends all summer and that because we were packing for the next big adventure. Man what a summer!!!
Anyway always enjoy your videos and this one was great. That action on Notellum Creek was awesome! Nothing like kids and creeks.
Thanks for sharing!
