Don't bother asking where I chose to fish, because I won't tell.
But the long and short of it is this: I caught exactly 70 LMB yesterday (ranging from 6" - 18"), and the muscles in my left hand ache today. Haha, perhaps the happiest discomfort I've ever enjoyed.

Thank goodness Flygoddess and Hook N Hunter appropriately responded to this outstanding and mind probing post or otherwise many could have viewed this thread as further substance to BFT.com's nickname as the "Meatboard"
Thank you "farticus" for completely wasting 45 seconds of my life that I will never get back.

First, I love that you think I monopolized your 'precious' time that you spent... surfing the web.
Second, an enlightened mind (your handle precludes any suspicion that you would qualify under such a heading) might have queried about time of day, technique, boat vs. shore... but, we'll just render you "meatheadgene" to appropriately warn others of your astonishing intellectual prowess.
Those who know me on here know I like to tease, have fun, laugh. You, however, opted to just be a ... well, I suppose I'll refrain from proffering further vocabulary that will send you to the dictionary.
Happy fishing, meatheadgene.

I'm just glad you said "left hand" - oh wait - unless you're left handed, THEN I'd have to worry and question.
Do you have a fish-clicker? I can't count above 20 - personally. Maybe there's an app for that!
Hey - I'm glad to see any fish-post that doesn't include decimated dehydrated Pelican porn, or plummage.
I was gonna dabble with the "dry lakes" but left out the boat, and kept it close to home. Found a few.
So -those all bass, or mixing in the panfish in the pantry? We had a great FishTacoSalad night ourselves last night.
Sometimes "cryptic" freaks folks out a bit! But hey - beats hot-spotting!

OK, you kept your legal limit of 5 LM bass. Who caught the other 3 or more limits on those stringers?

While this doesn't bolster your confidence in me: I am, in fact, a southpaw. I use a 7' trigger rod and palm a standard right-handed reel. As a result, my left hand is in charge of all rod control. And after 70 fish, multiple dozens of which were 1lb+, it was worn out.
Do you have a fish-clicker?
Nope. We just keep count.

I would like to clarify for those who don't know me, that I fish like crazy (probably averaged 2 outings per week this summer) - BUT that I almost NEVER take fish. In fact, the ONLY time I take fish is when extended family visits (because I stir up their envy, texting them pictures of my myriad catches) specifically for the purpose of having some fun and enjoying a fish fry.
My wife and kiddos are still learning to like fish - after five too many terrible trout dinners in foil. So I prefer to let them live to be caught another day.
(Okay, conscience cleared...)

99% bass. All in all, our group caught somewhere just above 190 fish. All were LMB, excepting 2 rainbows.

As clarification, the southeast Idaho bass limit is 6, none under 12".
We took home exactly 30 bass. My big sister brought her son up to learn that there were better things in life than stocked rainbow trout, and I had 2 of my sons along for the fun. 5 people x 6 bass = 30 fish = 60 delicious fillets.

I went for a drive with my wife yesterday and I think I saw you guys there. Stupid work has kept me from it, but hopefully I'll get there soon.
Just be careful, we don't need another Devil's Creek.

In the light of sharing information that I CAN, here's how I keep track of my fish count with my sons - while having fun at the same time:
In alphabetical order, we name each personal catch: Aloysius, Bartimaeus, Chump, Dorito, Eduardo, Fancy Feast, etc, etc.
We get good laughs out of the creative process, all while making it very easy to keep accurate count.
Give it a try, dads and moms!

I think yesterday was the day to be out bass fishin'. My buddy in Virginia had the best bass fishing day of his life. I believe he caught over 50 largemouth bass in 2 hours that were all 3-7 pounds each. Kind of crazy!

I would have loved to see that. That is a BIG bass every 2 or 3 minutes. I know it takes me that long to bring "one" that size in, but I do fly fish for them. Let alone non stop for 2 hours! Crazy. No potty breaks allowed.
