With it being Thanksgiving I had time to hit the Provo river before dinner. Woke up at 5:30am got there 6amish and gosh it was so cold getting out of my car it was not pleasant what so ever. First I hit down stream and tossed some jigs and bam a big brown hit it got hooked then flopped in the air and unhooked him self. Im sure the people in there homes heard the grateful cheers in the air. Trying to find that big guy again but no luck. Started going up stream oh great fast deep pools and bush whacking just what I wished for. After a long bush whacking experience as bad as the one in my lost trip in the uinta mountains hit a spot with some other guys. One guy was getting bite after bite but he can hook them because he think hes in Alaska catching salmon he told me. I tossed an egg patter out there and had a big bow on the end of my line but it just had to unhook.
Like everyone says always have more then one fly, nymph, midge, ect or your going to regret it and I did my lovely egg patter got into a log and snapped and again the people hear a loud scream in the air. With the frustration in the air I went down stream to find a brown and I got one on a tube jig but dam this one brown looked like he got out of a brutal war zone with all the damage it got on him.
Looks like didn't show any thanks giving fishing trip to FFl
