Any docks still in at strawberry?
#1
Any body know if any of the ramps at strawberry or soldier creek still have docks? I'm either going there or Hyrum(never fish there before) and since I'm going alone a dock makes it really nice.
Thanks.

Strawberry side docks have been pulled and I would imagine that is also the case for Soldier Creek.

Soldier Creek docks were pulled 3 weeks ago. They were pulled as soon as we got done. 1 other boat was being loaded after us, all gone till next year.

We went to Renegade on black Friday and I had to wade in the water up to my knees to get in the boat. I wonder if this qualifies for "The Polar Bear Club?" [crazy] But I will say one thing for 'em - they still charge a fee!

Yup, they always gotta get their money.
I decided to head to rockport since they had a dock, but it was useless. The bottom of the ramp flattens out and had to back in so far that the water was only three inches from my door sill just to get the back of the boat to float and the dock ended at the bow and was 3 1/2 feet above the water.

Sounds like the water levels are more favorable compared to Deer Creek. A few weeks ago I was backed in all the way up to the doors and STILL had to push the boat off the trailer... [crazy] It would seem that most of us hope this winter will be a good water year.

So how was the catching?

It was pretty good, on the water almost 3 hours, boated 7 and lost two. All at 14-15" and one just shy of 18".

Go to the main boat ramp at Deer Creek instead of the island and you won't have that problem anymore.
