Things are warming up down under boys!!
#1
G'Day you lot!!

I am sitting in a hotel room in Ankara, Turkey bored out of my brain so I thought I would give you an update on the fishing down under. Well the weather is cooling down in your neck of the woods but at home it is warming up. Avg days are about 78F. Water temp is rising so the pelagics will soon be turning up. We will start to see Tuna (long tail, yellow fin, Mac and doggie) as well as mackeral and wahoo (dolphin fish or mahi mahi depends where ya from)

Anyway, here are a few pics of a few recent trips and I hope to get back to you with some fish from offshore soon.

That coastal stuff reminds me so much of my younger years in Florida. We went after similar species. Instead of Baramundi, we had Snook. We had the various Snapper as well. It all looks fun. I did not see you using a Fosters beer can as a lure though... Love the pics.

Good to hear from you Funchy. 78* sounds like some nice temps. Is that last fish in your pics a Freshwater fish or Saltwater? Take care.

G'day WH2,

It is called a whiting. Saltwater fish much like a bone fish but smaller. Good little fighters for their size and great eating in egg and bread crumbs Big Grin
