Howdy guys,
I'm going to head south this Saturday to get my Grandpa out chasing largemouth on Sand Hollow. He turning 80 and doesn't get out much, so I think he's pretty excited. I haven't been to Sand Hollow lately and am wondering if anyone has any status on how it's been fishing? Last January we were picking them up deep on drop shot rigs, but I'm not sure if they are all deep now, or not. Any help/updates would be appreciated.
Thanks,

We held a qualifier there for the UVU team and the bite had definitely slowed down (Nov 10). I went down a couple weeks before with my kids and we caught 80 or so in 5 hours... I caught one on the 10th... The team did well that day, but in 6 hours if fishing only 3 teams weighed in 5 bass. Good luck, I say fish slow and deep, the fish are still there just not in the eating mood.

There was a tournament last weekend.

Fishing must have been decent.
The trick this time of year is to fish deeper. 25-35 ft is usually good for numbers. Some big fish bite as deep as 50ft.

Thanks for the replies, guys! I've had success down there fishing in the deep before...it sounds like it's time for that already.
If anyone else has been down lately, I'd love to hear any feedback!
Thanks,
Jon

Slow and deep...jigs and dshots, natural colors in 40'+ of water, you'll catch fish. Good luck and have fun! I may see you out there...

I fished the UBT tourney. Worms, tube jigs, spinnerbaits and cranks all worked pretty much in that order. Didn't do any dropshotting as we weren't get many fish that way prefishing. Most teams were working from 10 to 30ft depths. Lots of bass in the teens big ones were hard to come by.

Thanks, Stan. I was thinking about giving the ol crankbait a try in the morning...we'll see how it goes.
Rich, we'll be in an older gray bass boat...come say howdy if you make it out.
