hey guys, i'm coming up to bear lake for christmas and would love to catch some of those great white fish. any chance i can get you guys to help me out and give me some tips on what to do? i don't have a boat, can i rent one? can i fish from the shore? what part of the lake is the best? any help would be great. i'd like to take my sons too if possible.

This years run has been spotty... May be about over but you can sure try from shore. Just check out some of the older posts on how to catch them. good luck

Since those with the skills haven't responded yet ill feed ya the little bit I know. If your fishing from shore try the state park marina but I think you may be a little late but you might find a trout still hanging around. Good luck. J

thanks for the info. do you know if the whitefish are done spawning? in the videos i've watched they said its usually around this time that they spawn. thanks everyone!!!

Read this thread from a few pages back and it should answer all your question. There is a lot of good information in this thread, several different members added a lot of detail, it can really help you, if you read it all.

Call 435-946-8501 for the Bear Lake report. They usually tell you how the fishing is. The WF spawn is a few weeks earlier but there still may be a few around. My next BL trip will be for Cisco in January. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Later J
