Hello everyone, I am heading up to scofield on sat. morning and i've been reading all the reports and talking to lots of people. I have concluded that no one really knows how the ice is... the dwr website says 6+ inches at the dam and 2-4 on main lake. However, there are some folks out there that are saying alot less ice than that.. (unsafe)? I'm heading up there regardless but is there anyone who can give me an idea of what i can expect on sat.? I will let yall know sat. night what i find out!!! Thanks!

I fished the dam arm on Wednesday and there were 4 inches of soft ice. The fishing was fast and furious on paddle bugs and tubes. There is a decent layer of slush on top of the ice so make sure to take some waterproof gear or you're bound to freeze.

Fished the main lake today. Ice about 2 to 3 inches. I didn't go out too far. I like 4 or more. There is 10 inches of snow on the lake so it is insulated and I'm sure it would grow fast if the snow wasn't on top. It was - 17 degrees when I got there this morning about 7:45.

Any new ice news for Scofield? I was thinking about heading up tomorrow but the last I heard was 3 inches a few days ago. I was hoping for a little more than that.
