cascade ice by dam

I am new and just wondering if the ice around the dam at cascade is good, and a location maybe to try on New years day

Welcome to BFT. I have no idea on Cascade, but I do know that there have been some reports on it. Look back over the last few pages of posts. I don't remember anyone mentioning the dam area though.

ice around dam is still not good for probably another 2 weeks. sugar loaf got only 3-4 in,
so youll have to wait just me []

what about around boulder creek area or huckleberry campground.

Ice should be reasonably good for walking traffic at both Boulder and Huckleberry, but be careful anyway, okay? Remember there is no such thing as "safe" ice.
