Hit Scofield today with my dad. We fished from 1045 till 315 and caught 65 fish between the two of us. Fishing was fast! We had to weed through 65 fish to catch one decent one, largest was about 18 inches. We ended up with two six inch tigers and two six inch rainbows and the rest were 10-12 inch cutts. I have never seen so many small identical fish I think I caught the same fish ten times. Our best depth was 15-18 feet. Caught all our fish with worms, and powerbait or garlic bait suspended two to three feet off the bottom. Ice was about 8 inches with about 4 inches on snow on top, no slush. Good luck.

Good job on getting into them! Its still fun even when they are small, We're you fishing in the dam arm or was the 8" of ice out on the main lake? Thanks for the report.

Glad you got out and did so well. We have had similar experience and results at Scofield this year like you have.
All I can say, is I hope the slot makes a difference and we start catching bigger fish more regularly in the future. If not, it will only be an early ice lake for me, and I will go elsewhere when those places ice up to catch bigger fish consistently.
