Thinking about making a trip down to Fish Lake to do some ice fishing Was wondering if anyone has had any experience (good or bad) with cabin rentals down there during the winter time. Had the idea that renting a cabin and doing some fishing. Thanks

They are way fun to stay in. If you have a four wheeler you can drive straight from your fishing spot to your cabin. If the conditions are right.

We go every year. Aunts, uncle's, cousins. The whole family rents out all the cabins. It has always been a great time! Looking forward for next month to go again. If your looking to rent one call in advance. I believe they are weeks out depending on the cabin. We always rent the bigger ones by the lodge.

My wife and I stayed in one a few years back, I think it was at Lakeside, one of the cheapest rustic cabins. The problem was the little heater in the cabin warmed the kitchen but not the 2 bedrooms, so it was COLD. You might consider taking along a small electric space heater just in case.
