A F harbor slooooooow...
#1
Went to AF harbor on Sunday morning with my son-in law Jordan. Arrived at about 8:00 drove all the way to the end of the dike on the west side. Drilled several holes in the entrance to the harbor marked a few fish in the ones out about 1/2 way. Ice was a good 5" and clear. Depth was 4.5' Jordan caught 2 (bait volunteers[Wink]) right away. I only managed to catch one all day, about 5" sent him home to get bigger. That was all for the next hour. Jordan took the auger and ventured deeper into the harbor moving around a lot. After a small nap, I also started moving in the holes he had drilled, nothing. He ended up off of the last dock on the west side, There is a wooden pole about 15' from the dock. he was on the so. side of that pole and ended up catching a total of about 8-10 with 2 being in the 10" area.
Never saw the sun thanks to the inversion, kinda cold, but not to bad. Left at 1:30, did not see a whole lot of action anywhere on the ice. Spoke to one man who came in to the docks to join me in the futile attempt to find fish. He said he had not caught any all day long. Most fish were caught on worms, 1-2 on meal worms, ZERO on white bass meat. That has got to be a first!
