The Berry or Jordanelle?
#1
Anybody been over in the rock cliff arm of Jordanelle yet? Or anyone go to Strawberry by the marina in the last couple of days? Any info would be appreciated, pm me if you don't want to broadcast. Can I take a four wheeler to Strawberry? Kind of skittish after the photo of the quad and he was just off the ramp! Thanks for any info.

Drove by Jordanelle on the way home from Strawberry Saturday. Ice is forming but the middle is or was open water. Could see ice in the arm by the cliffs.

Fished at Renegade on the 1st. Ice was 8 inches with no slush where I was. I and my fishing partner drove the snowmobiles out on the ice there. Fished Soldier Creek on Saturday. Ice was 8 inches in most areas and thicker in others closer to shore (no slush). Drove my snow mobile out on the ice there. Another guy was there with his machine and went out closer to the dam than I traveled. Was up to Henry's lake the first of December. Ice was 7 inches. Drove my machine on the ice there. Was at Scofield on December 28th. Ice was 7 inches. Drove my snowmobile on the ice there. If the ice is 8 inches at Rainbow Bay, I would not hesitate taking a machine out there also. How far does the good ice extend? You will have to determine that. Walk and drill, walk and drill. That is the safest way to determine the thickness. If you look at the pictures of the ATV in the water, it looks as if the ice was only 2 to 2.5 inches thick where it broke thru.

I fished Strawberry on Sunday by the marina. Ice was 7"-9", with four wheelers and snowmobiles scattered across the lake. Should be safe to take your four wheeler out as long as you are precautious.
