		That is pretty cool. I wish I had time to fish when I had to go there. It would have made it a lt more bearable. I am glad there is good people on here that support what our Armed Forces are doing.
What river was that solider fishing in? Where in the county were you? I spent my time there in March 03 in An Nasiriyah during the fight for the bridges.

		When I was over in 06-07 I was able to fish the river between Turkey and Iraq on one of my many road trips through the country.  I caught two fish.  Both looked like some kind of chubs and some kids took them and cooked them right on the shore.  It was funny I used a stick and the string out of 550 cord and I used a piece of brass as a weight and I bought a hook for a dollar from a native. I tipped the hook with some chicken skin because that is what the native gave me to use. It was a blast.

Cool post. I was wondering if any of that stuff caught any of them Iraq fish. Heard they have some sort of giant perch over there. Any pics ?
