The Warrior Princess and I hit Starvation Sat night. We got a late start and did not hit the ice till 6pm. Set up by the lights of a snowmobile. Drilled 4 holes just off the point at the west corner of the gulch marked 36' of water. Dropped theHydro glow light down one and set up the tent and the Vex. First drop Jeanine pops a 10" walleye on the bottom and then we picked up 2 more underfooters. About this time the rainbows moved in and make it difficult to walleye fish. The bows were suspended from 3' to 10' and fairly aggresive. We wound up breaking 6# magnathin 3 times. Next time I will set up a pole with heavier line for the bows. Best rig was a #6 green glow ratfinke above #4 puple gemneye flutter jigs. Tipped the fink with a waxworm and the flutterjig with nightcrawler. Left at 9:30 with 3 bows and 3 walleyes. Honestly we set up too deep I think the walleyes are shallow at night. Usually 17' or less. Temp when we left was 9 above and when we crossed Daniels summit it was -17.Pics are on my I pad and I have not figured out how to downlad. Hell I can't even log on, can't find an underscore for my pen name.
