Mackay or Oakley

Anyone been to Mackay or Oakley in the last couple of days. Just curious if I should make the trip. Wondering about the ice.

I have talked to a few people that has said ice is 12 inches at Oakley and the fishing has been really slow.

Talked to a guy last night that has a place near Mackay and he said ice is 24 to 30 inches thick and that fishing is picking up there. Said he got limit of koks last trip. And those Camloops they put in there are really nice size.

Does anyone no how much snow is on the ice . Just wondering if I will be able to get around on the 4 wheeler or do I need to bring the snowmachine . Thanks Curt G.

One of the things I have noticed about Mackay reservoir is that if it gets snow, that snow usually ends up in Jackson Hole lots of wind in that area and I personally haven't seen it where you couldn't use a four wheeler.

I will be fishing Mackay this next weekend. Have family that live in Mackay so I go every year and do a little ice fishing. I hope the Kokes really start biting by then.
