Deer Creek Reservoir or Utah Lake ice fishing

I'm new at ice fishing in Utah and was curious if anybody has found success on either Utah lake or Deer Creek Reservoir? Any specific tips on where to go? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

What are you interested in fishing for? If trout go to DC if not go to UL

I'll probably try for trout first so maybe I'll head over to Deer Creek. I have a friend who's done plenty of crappie and bluegill ice fishing so he should be able to show me the ropes out on Utah lake. Thanks for the advice!

Drove past DC today. All the snow is melted and there is lots of water on the ice. Keep dry.
