Bear Lake Cisco
#1
[bobhappy]The Warrior Princess and I decided we must have Cisco and headed for The Bear. Arrived at Cisco Beach at 8:30 and limited out by 9. Temp was 33 when we arrived and the ice did not look good. Jeanine asked a guy how the people fishing out further got there. He showed her the path they took and went through to his waist. Luckily it just ruined his day, a few feet further was 90' of water.everybody was limiting on Cisco although I think it has just started.
We moved to the Rockpile to try for some white fish or maybe a trout, nada. Clouds of Cisco. I will not be back until Valentine day as the trout get stuffed for a couple weeks. We drove our 4 wheeler to the first pressure ridge and I did not have the stuff to drive over it. There were 3 or 4 wheelers out there Andy a sled however I opted to drag my sled out to deeper water. We fished across the pile from 35 to 68' deep. There were so many Cisco at 50' it formed a false bottom on thevex. We dropped the camera and it was solid Cisco. Ice was 5.5" average and it was 38 when we lefts at 3.
