Ice Fishing Star Valley WY?

I know this is a post that is more appropriate for the WY forum, but with the Utah forum being more active I thought I would try here. I am headed to Star Valley WY this weekend to visit the in-laws. Has anyone ever tried ice fishing in this area? I assume that the Alpine access to Palies in really the only place to try in those parts. Any thoughts? Thanks

You might try on the Idaho forum. There was a few guys on there that fish the place in the past.

I think your only two possibilities for ice fishing close to Star Valley are both in Idaho. Palies off the north end of Star Valley and Montpelier west of the south end.

I can't think of any other lakes unless there are some small private ponds somewhere in the valley there.

Are you taking kids fishing? Montpelier has tons of small perch 6-8in that need catching!

Thanks for the input. With Montpelier not being too far away, I might consider going there. I will most likely be going with newbies and fast action would be nice to keep them happy. Where in Montpelier are you suggesting? I'm not too familiar with Montpelier either...
