Ice Fishing At CJ Is For Sure Over & Done
#1
Was at CJ yesterday & the ice there throughout the Bruneau Arm has several big splits in the middle & the edges everywhere are breaking up & you can't get on the ice anywhere plus she's getting pretty rotten. The only little spot you can ice fish still is right in that little cove at cottonwood where then little docks are but all you catch there right now if anything is trout.

Sad to see the ice at CJ go since i've had such good luck fishing there & just hoping we won't have to wait 20+ years to ice fish CJ again [bobSad]

Was the main reservoir open? I was thinking about taking the boat out. Thanks!

Yep the main reservoir & the narrows are open water too & from what I saw yesterday the open water's beginning to creep in the Bruneau arm due to the wind breaking up the ice. I'm betting by the looks of the weather forecast in that area & the way the ice of what's left of it will be gone in a week or less, especially if the pesky wind blows since that stinkin wind melt the ice fast

No problem man! Ya that's one downside of CJ is that the stinkin wind blows so often there, especially in the spring
