Was up for the day on Monday... One 30 inch Native Hen between the three of us (my son's first!). Ran into the creel survey guy and he said he had seen a few fish but nothing too special. Was cold but found plenty of water to fish just below Salmon all the way up to the Ellis. Iced up good between Salmon and North Fork though. Will let things warm up again before heading that way again...

fish and game might not take to kindly to putting hands in a wild fishes gills might wanna watch what you put on the internet just sayin....

Understood... that is why a couple of fingers were gently slipped under the gill cover and not in the gills themselves. I can assure you that the fish was handled much more gently than many of the you tube videos that show wild fish flopping around in a boat and then thrown into the water!
