lower weber west of 89
#1
Fished the lower weber below the 89 twice the last few days for about an hour and a half each time and have not had one bite. Today I finally saw signs of life, one riser, and a huge midge hatch. But I havent hooked anything, Has anyone else fished the down in the valley at all, just wondering if its me or if alot of the fish didnt make it this year. Still nice to get out but it would be nice to at least get a bite of know there is fish in their still [:/]

There's quite a few fish in them waters. Although they get POUNDED cause they're so close. I've done better down off the toll road exit. There's an access point that DNR put in, road double backs and goes under the overpass and that's where you park. It's tough walking, and definitely hit some deep waters, but there's fish there!

Try over by the City Shops.
There is a lot of access and trails there.
Some nice Browns in that section.

I was only there for an hour but started out with a size 14 pheasant tail with a hares ear dropper then went with a adams dry with a size 24 zebra midge dropper once I saw all the bugs, then a bugger after that. Like I said it was only about an hour so maybe hard to judge but with all the bugs I thought I would have seen a few more fish rise. I have caught fish there before so I know they are there but maybe I should have thrown something else, or just give up [bobscared]
