Rods for Ice fishing Bear Lake

I'm going up to Bear Lake in the Morning, Wondering if I have a good enough rod . I have a Medium Heavy Ice fishing rod to use but was thinking about using my 6.6 ft rod that I usually use up there. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It's your choice. I like the Eagle Claw Ice Rod for bigger fish. I don't like to ice fish with a long rod.
There are others that will prefer to use their long rods.
Simple answer, take both.

We will also be up there tomorrow. Probably around the pile or off Gus Rich, my kids will be the ones wrestling with each other and goofing off the entire time or at least that is what they usually do when we are ice fishing. It makes the trip fun. I typically use the 6.6 ft ugly stick. My ice poles are pretty light action. Should be a nice day up there.
