went to starvy yesterday with fishday in serch of the perch or maybe get lucky and get a few eyes, that didnt happen. We arrived at about 5 am and fished the dark for a little over an hour without a bite.
so we decided to head out in a fishy looking point and we found a few schools that were thick and didnt want to really hang around too long.
we managed a good bag between us and some good trout aswell, i only kept one but i had another and fishday had a monster of a rainbow get off at the hole. rat finkkees were the best for me with waxworms.

At least you got into them a little bit. I made a quick trip out there and met Pikeman at Indian Bay. He had been there all morning and had two nice Rainbow's to show for it. We both fished for maybe another two hours without so much as a nibble. A few showed up on his electronics, but were gone just as fast. It was still fun to get out and hang out with Pikeman, even if it was just a quickie. I DID catch a parking ticket for my troubles, so I guess it wasn't a total skunk job.
I drove into Douche-Shane and fished the Strawberry River (at least, I'm pretty sure that's what it was) and had one of the best days of Brown catching that I've had in a long, long time.

when we were on em they would hit like crazy and i couldnt keep up with 2 poles but that only lasted a little bit.
also some nice fish on those rivers around there, this warm weather has me riggin up my fly rod.

Sometime, somewhere, somehow we need to hook-up and do some perch hunt'in in the future. Seems we share the same passion. What's Echo or Rockport doing right now, this might be the last good weekend I have to go. Are you interested? I have friday and sunday off.
