New State and World Record Striper caught in Alabama on the Black Warrior River. The fish weighed 70 lbs and beat the previous state record by 15 lbs and the existing world record (67.8lbs) by 2 1/2 lbs. This record is for a land-locked striper.

New land-locked world record. The overall world record is over 80. Still, it's a big one. [cool]

for a second there I thought it was a photoshop because I thought there is no way that guy is holding that fish so easily.....then I saw the rope. What a beast! Makes one wonder if anything that big could ever come from powell.

Waynes Words for lake powell has some incredible stripers in the big fish section. I bet there is some in there.
