this time it's the Big one - Big Blue on a balmy Sat morn.
Grabbed Lavaman, and met up with BamaBoy, met Mooncricket and crew at launch. Nice morning to get out on what ice is left.

Cruised out and out, planted on about 85ft, drilled and dropped. Few looks, not much more. Think Bama got a bump. The Kastmasters, and spoons didn't seem to entice. Cisco, worms, various colors.
Switched over to a glow tube tipped with Cisco- and got a hit - tink tink- hookset, felt some weight, then it was gone.

We moved shallower, and drilled in again. Not lots of action on the finder, but occasional schools of Cisco passing through, some arcs off the bottom now and again. But lots of middle fin salutes for sure.
Trying tubing again - I had a solid nip-tug, and went for a sounds hookset - ping - nothing. So yeah - that one HAD to be a 30#+ pounder, I'm sure of it! [

Was a great day out - ice, good solid edges, lots of sunshine, until the wind kicked in around 2, and promised to continue. Day was done. Another "wanna be" day at the Bear. Need to go hang with Catmaster, or Fishjon, figure out how it's done! Feels like fishing Willard! Doesn't mean I won't try again!

I had the hot hand with more hookups that ANYONE else (um, 2 [blush]- second was more of a 'snap'!) And THIS was the big fish on the day, awesome wicked catch! Just leaves us begging to give it another go!!!
