What a great day to be out on the ice, we didn't slay them but ended up with two macks and a little cutt that was choking on a whitefish. We moved around a few times and seemed to get bites or landed fish on every move. I finally got my pig through the ice 17 lbs and 35.5 long, great day! [inline IMG_8480.jpg]

This isn't my biggest out of the big blue, but this one had me more nervous than all previous. There's a big difference between the ice and open water for sure. All I can say is thank God for spider wire mono, Ninjasets ninja grip, and this fish.

Na I meant it seems they make the first trip to the hole pretty easy, the whole time your thinking this is a nice fish, then they make a swipe past the hole and you see that tail that looks like its a foot across and yer knees start rattling together.

No way man, those pictures were TOTALLY photoshopped! I think you caught some perch and substituted some big-ass monster toad some one caught! Yeah, yeah.
Nice going. Thanks for the play by play updates. We had our day on ice, few temptations enough to sucker up and try again. (glutton for punishment)

Nice. Sure seems like Bear Lake is giving up some nice fish this year.
That picture of the cutthroat is funny. I caught a mack this morning that a 12 inch fish sticking out of its mouth. I have to wonder what a fish is thinking trying to eat something else (my jig) when its last meal is still hanging out of its mouth.

They usually "burp" those fish up while struggling on the way up.
